It is semi‑permeable, soft‑moldable and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance. Based on density and chemical properties, it is classified into various categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching. While characteristics vary by grade, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components are cleaned of oil, dirt and rust using abrasive blasting to create pores for better paint adhesion. A fine‑ball material is sprayed with compressed air to open pores and remove contaminants. After fabrication, metal parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder, then cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Post‑fabrication, components undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑phosphate bath, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the entire product is painted in one coat to prevent weld corrosion and cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. The New Generation Playground offers an engaging activity circuit for children.
