It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is favored in industry for its low cost and high resistance. Polyethylene grades are classified based on density and chemical properties. Mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Regardless of grade, it offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, ladders, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch dyes used for colouring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness at points subjected to pressure and friction must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in); for barrier and shading components not exposed to pressure, a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) is required. The material must be evenly distributed to ensure uniform thickness. Thickness and dimension tolerances are ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), formed by cold drawing in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. These tubes are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint applied in a sandblasted furnace. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are sprayed with pressurised air to open micro‑pores and clean the metal surface. After sandblasting, the parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and cured in a furnace at 200‑220 °C for 20 minutes. Following manufacturing, metal components undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5% oil‑removal bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1% iron‑dip bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire product is painted in a single coat with durable polyester‑based powder paint and cured at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams are protected by painting the whole assembly after welding to prevent corrosion.
