It is a semi‑permeable, soft‑moldable, and highly durable polymer. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical characteristics define its classification into various categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Though properties differ by grade, general traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, the masterbatch pigment used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shade components that are not pressure‑exposed. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Product thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5%. CARRIER CONSTRUCTION The carrier structure will consist of circular‑section steel tubes manufactured to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards by cold‑forming with a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in) and a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in). Tubes will be welded using high‑frequency welding and painted with polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied in a sandblasted furnace. ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine‑bead abrasive will be sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores and eliminate contaminants. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequent cleaning steps include a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑phosphate bath, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the entire assembly will be painted as a single coat to prevent corrosion at weld joints.
