It is semi‑transparent, flexible, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into various categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching. Despite variations, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, ladders, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where it is exposed to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shading components not subjected to pressure. Thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier frame is made from circular steel tubes that meet TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, cold‑formed with a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in) and an outer diameter of at least 114 mm (4.5 in). The tubes are welded using high‑frequency welding and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint applied by sandblasting the steel surfaces first. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine metal beads are shot onto the parts with pressurized air to open micro‑pores. After cleaning, the components are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Post‑coating, the parts undergo a 10‑minute soak in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, then rinsed and dried. Finally, the entire assembly is painted in a single coat to prevent weld corrosion, with the powder coating cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes.
