It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that offers low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene grades are classified according to density and chemical properties. Mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, common traits include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The material’s exterior thickness shall be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where it is exposed to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for components not subjected to load (e.g., barriers or shade structures). Thickness uniformity must be maintained, with dimensional tolerance of ±5 %. Carrier Construction The supporting structure consists of steel tubes with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded with high‑frequency welding. Tubes are coated by sandblasting followed by a polyester‑based electrostatic powder‑coat applied in a furnace. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is then sprayed with pressurized air to open micro‑pores and clean the surface. After coating with polyester‑based electrostatic paint, the parts are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequent treatments include a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, then rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is powder‑coated with durable outdoor‑grade paint and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
