It is semi‑permeable, can be softened, and is highly durable. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene is classified by density and chemical properties. Mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. Although properties vary by grade, it generally offers good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, guardrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a Lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product’s wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where the material is subjected to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barrier or shade components that are not pressure‑exposed. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The load‑bearing structure will be made from round‑section steel tubes produced by cold forming in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in). Tubes will be welded using high‑frequency welding within the standard tolerances for dimensions and cross‑section. After welding, the tubes will be sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder finish in a furnace. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal components will be pre‑treated by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine steel shot will be sprayed with compressed air to open micro‑pores and clean the metal. After the metal parts are fabricated, they will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts will undergo a 10‑minute dip in a 70 °C, 5 % concentration degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % concentration iron bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a final polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Weld seams will be fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
