It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is cost‑effective and offers high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, polyethylene is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by grade, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The product wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shade structures not subjected to load. Material distribution must be uniform, and overall thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier structure consists of circular‑section steel tubes that are cold‑formed according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), and welded by high‑frequency welding. These tubes are sandblasted and then powder‑coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic finish. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with compressed air to open additional pores. After cleaning, the components receive a polyester‑based electrostatic coating and are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Post‑treatment includes a 10‑minute immersion in a 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, then rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is powder‑coated with a durable outdoor‑grade polyester finish and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully covered after welding to prevent corrosion.
