It is semi‑permeable, moldable, and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, which makes it popular in industry. Depending on density and chemical properties, it is categorized into various grades. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystallinity, and branching. Although properties vary by grade, the material generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness of load‑bearing parts must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) where subjected to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barrier and shade components. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier structure will be made from circular‑section steel tubes produced by cold forming according to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in). The tubes will be welded by high‑frequency welding and painted with polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied in a sand‑blasting furnace. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts will be sand‑blasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine steel shot coating will be sprayed with compressed air to open pores and clean the metal. After coating, parts will be cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following manufacturing, metal components will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, then a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % iron‑phosphate bath, followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly will be painted with a durable polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating and cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. All welds will be fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
