It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that offers low cost and high resistance, making it a preferred material in industry. Polyethylene is classified into categories based on density and chemical properties. Its mechanical characteristics depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While specific properties vary, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. The wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components not subjected to load. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Dimensional tolerances are ±5 %. Carrier Construction The carrier construction consists of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards and welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are painted by electrostatic powder coating over a sandblasted surface using a polyester‑based paint. Electrostatic Powder Coating Process All metal parts are first sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface that improves paint adhesion. Fine steel beads are then sprayed with compressed air to further open pores and clean the metal surface. After coating with polyester‑based electrostatic paint, the parts are cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following metal fabrication, parts undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes, a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes, rinsing, and drying. Finally, the components are coated with a durable outdoor‑grade polyester powder paint and baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All welds are fully protected by applying a uniform topcoat after welding to prevent corrosion.
