It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer. Its low cost and high resistance make it popular in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical properties determine its classification into different categories. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure, and branching type. While properties vary by type, general characteristics include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofing, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used for coloring polyethylene must have a lightfastness value of 6 or higher. The material thickness at points subjected to pressure and friction must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in); for barriers and shade structures not subjected to load, the minimum thickness is 4 mm (0.2 in). Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness tolerance is ±5%. Carrier Construction The carrier construction will consist of steel tubes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), formed by cold forming in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, and welded by high‑frequency welding. The tubes will be painted with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coating applied after sandblasting. Electrostatic Powder Coating All metal parts will be sandblasted to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a textured surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel beads will be sprayed with pressurized air to open pores and eliminate contaminants before coating. After fabrication, metal components will be coated with polyester‑based electrostatic paint and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts will undergo a 10‑minute 70 °C dip in a 5% degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute 50 °C dip in a 1% iron bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a final electrostatic powder coating and be baked at 180‑200 °C for 20‑30 minutes. All welds will be fully painted to prevent corrosion.
