Climbing Ropes: Six 16 mm (0.6 in) diameter, UV-protected, fire-retardant polyamide (nylon) rope cables. Each rope consists of six strands wrapped around a strong core containing a total of 144 steel reinforcement wires, each strand encased in a polyamide sleeve with a steel reinforcement cable. At each end, an aluminum sleeve is attached to the cable with a galvanized steel wear-resistant rod and a connector loop. Edge strands include steel cables wrapped around a core for a total of 168 steel reinforcement wires. Connection Balls: A single compressed aluminum ball that provides a 150,000-pound (667 kN) force to prevent the connection form from moving and premature cable wear. Rope Surface: A 13 mm (0.5 in) thick, textile-reinforced rubber pad with drainage holes, fixed to the cable with two-piece bolted aluminum connectors coated with rubber to reduce rope wear. Base Connection Elements: All fasteners for component attachments are stainless steel. Mounting Plates: Made of galvanized steel. Corner anchors include multiple attachment points to allow tension adjustments and the attachment of a safety rope. Mid-post anchors consist of a post-fixing brace and an anchor ring that secures the assembly to concrete. This two-piece mounting simplifies precise positioning of the post brace during installation. Anchor Bolts: Mounting plates will be secured to concrete blocks with “L” anchor bolts measuring 22 mm (0.9 in) diameter by 500 mm (19.7 in) length.
