Support pipe: The support pipe will be a 139.8 mm (5.5 in) steel tube coated with polyester powder coating for the main support. Climbing ropes: The climbing ropes will be 16 mm (0.6 in) diameter, UV‑protected, fire‑retardant polyamide (nylon) cable. Each rope consists of six strands, each wrapped around a robust core of 24 steel reinforcement wires, giving a total of 144 steel reinforcement wires; each strand ends with a finished aluminum sleeve attached to the cable and a galvanized steel wear rod covered with a connection ring. The edge ropes will contain a sturdy core of steel cables, wrapped around a polyamide core, providing a total of 168 steel reinforcement wires. Connector balls: To prevent the connector form from moving and cause premature wear of the cable, a single compressed aluminum ball with a force rating of 150,000 pounds (667 kN) will be used. Gripping surface: This will be a 13 mm (0.5 in) thick rubber pad reinforced with textile, mounted to the cable with rubber‑lined two‑piece bolted aluminum connectors that have drainage holes to reduce rope wear. Base connection elements: All attachment hardware for component brackets will be stainless steel. Mounting plates: Made of galvanized steel. Corner anchors will include multiple attachment points to allow adjustment of the tensioners and to attach a safety rope. Mid‑post anchors will consist of a staking post that secures the post and an anchor loop that fastens the assembly to the concrete. This two‑piece mounting allows precise positioning of the post stake during installation, making the process simpler and easier.
