Climbing Ropes: Six 16 mm (0.6 in) diameter polyamide (nylon) ropes with UV protection and fire‑retardant solution. Each rope is wrapped around a core containing 24 steel reinforcement wires, for a total of 144 steel reinforcement wires. The ends are terminated with an aluminum sleeve and a galvanized steel wear‑resistant rod with a connecting loop. Edge ropes include steel cables wrapped around a core for a total of 168 steel reinforcement wires. Connection Balls: A single compressed aluminum ball, pressed with a 150,000‑pound (667 kN) force, prevents movement of the connection form and early cable wear. Sliding Surface: A 13 mm (0.5 in) thick rubber pad reinforced with fabric, attached to the cable with two‑piece bolted aluminum connectors that have drainage holes to reduce rope wear. Base Fastening Elements: All fastening elements for component attachments are stainless steel. Mounting Plates: Made of galvanized steel. Corner anchors include multiple connection points to allow adjustable tensioners and a safety rope attachment. Mid‑pole anchors consist of a pole‑locking bracket and an anchorage ring that secures the assembly to concrete. This two‑piece mounting simplifies pole placement during installation. Anchor Bolts: The mounting plates are fixed to concrete blocks with 22 mm (0.9 in) diameter × 500 mm (19.7 in) long “L” anchor bolts.
