Sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in) and dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Allowed wood characteristics include: – Knots: Up to four sound knots per meter, total knot diameter not exceeding one‑quarter of the piece width. No rot, decay, split or fallen knots. – Cracks: No ring cracks. Hairline cracks 1‑2 mm (0.1 in) may be present. Pressure‑treated cracks may occur within tolerance limits. – Resin pockets: Up to one pocket per meter, not longer than 10 cm (3.9 in). No dripping or sucking resin, no inner bark, rot cavities or insect holes. No manufacturing defects beyond the stated tolerances. – Deflection: Bending not to exceed 1/50 of the piece length, impact not to exceed 1/100 of the piece width. Twist not to exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. Sag under load tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Primary Supports: Eight 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine beams, cut with diamond‑tipped blades, form the support legs. Each leg is 240 cm (94.5 in) high. Roof Structure: Roof bearing slats are 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood, milled at both ends and fastened with wooden tongue‑and‑groove boards or fiber panels. Zinc‑coated nails with wide heads attach the boards, which are then covered with shingle roofing (American cedar shingles). A 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) decorative slat, also cut with diamond‑tipped blades, is fastened to the roof with galvanized wood screws. The roof frame uses eight 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) slats, cut at specific angles and shaped with diamond‑tipped blades, connecting the main supports to the roof deck. All fixed connections use stainless‑steel wood screws; galvanized wood screws are used for the main‑to‑roof joints. Pigeon Loft: The loft is 750 mm (29.5 in) high; its roof slats are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, with additional 30 × 15 mm (1.2 x 0.6 in) battens spaced 30 mm (1.2 in) apart between the upper and lower slats. The slats are fastened with shingled boards and zinc‑coated nails, then shingled. The eave board uses 90 × 20 mm (3.5 x 0.8 in) decorative wood pieces shaped with a diamond‑tipped blade. Lower Panels (Railings): Rail height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Rail frames are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) sanded wood with edges beveled by diamond‑tipped blades. They are attached to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate decorative motifs are 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) wood cut with diamond‑tipped blades and mounted with galvanized screws and clear wood adhesive. Seating Unit: Eight 4 × 9 cm (1.6 x 3.5 in) L‑shaped wooden legs connect the main supports to the seating slats; each side receives four decorative slats shaped with diamond‑tipped blades and fastened with galvanized screws. Anchoring: Flange plates (18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in)) are welded to 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plates, which are drilled for anchor bolts (13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in)). Each plate receives three 6 mm (0.2 in) holes. Anchors are bolted to the support legs and to the concrete floor with steel dowels, protecting the wood from moisture. The gazebo anchoring system uses at least two 2.5 mm (0.1 in) fillet welds per flange, with six special screws per leg and two doweled screws per leg for ground connection. All metal components are powder‑coated with polyester paint and cured in a furnace.
