Water or moisture absorption is near zero. The cutting plate can be used especially in industrial kitchens and as a butcher's cutting block. This material also has weldability. Compared to polypropylene and PVC, it is softer and less rigid. The element that characterizes polyethylene (HDPE) is its molecular weight. It can be grouped into three categories—low molecular weight, high molecular weight, and ultra‑high molecular weight (PE 300, PE 500, PE 1000). PE 1000, in particular, offers exceptional wear resistance. It provides excellent durability when operating in sliding contact with metals. Spring: The spring is made of 4–6 wire helical coils of 60SiCr8 steel. It has a minimum Ø18 mm (0.7 in) ± 1 mm (0 in) material diameter and an outer Ø150 mm (5.9 in) ± 10 mm (0.4 in). During steel spring deflection, the minimum distance between the two points is approximately 15 mm (0.6 in). The spring’s deflection capacity is up to 30° relative to the tangent surface (to prevent overturning).
