Seating Area: 300 x 300 cm (118 x 118 in) Height: 250 cm (98.4 in) Wood Characteristics: The wood material for manufacturing will be 1st Grade Yellow Pine (Pinus Silvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: Each meter may contain up to four solid knots. The total width of knots will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, defective, partially split, or missing knots will be present. - Cracks: No ring crack will be present. Micro‑cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may occur. Pressure‑treated environment specifications may allow head and longitudinal cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: Length will not exceed 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter, with at most one pocket per meter. No leaking or pulling resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes will be present. No manufacturing defects, only deviations within specified tolerances. - Deflection: Will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twist: Will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter length. - Flexural tolerance: Between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Main Supports: Support legs will be made from four pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped, special‑motive knives. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The pergola roof’s carrying rafters will be fabricated from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each rafter will be shaped on a router. Additional decorative rafters, also 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in), will be shaped with diamond‑tipped, motif‑giving knives. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Anchoring: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange with a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) welding plate will be attached to the bottom of each support leg, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole will be drilled. Anchors will be mounted with screws onto the legs and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and providing stable footing. Picnic gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding at least two sides of a minimum 3 mm (0.1 in) thick flange, then bolting with six special screws per leg. Two dowel screws per leg will secure the anchors to the ground. All metal parts will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked.
