Wood sections will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). The wood material must meet the following criteria: Knots – each meter may contain up to four solid knots; the total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the part width. No rotten, defective, partially fused or missing knots are allowed. Cracks – no ring cracks; hairline cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated wood may show permissible head and longitudinal cracks within tolerance limits. Resin pockets – each meter may contain a single resin pocket not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping, pulling resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes are permitted. No manufacturing defects are allowed; only the specified tolerances may apply. Bending – will not exceed 1/50 of the part length. Impact – will not exceed 1/100 of the part width. Twisting – will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. Deflection – will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the part length. Sanding – all visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Main Supports: Support legs will be made from four pieces of pine timber, each at least 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special blades to add a motif. The support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in) high. Roof: The roof’s load‑bearing slats will be fabricated from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be shaped on a router. Additional slats, also 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in), will be machined with diamond‑tipped blades to create decorative motifs. All fixed connections will use specially galvanized wood screws. Lower Panels (Railings): The lower rail height is 75 cm (29.5 in). Railing frames are made from 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) wood, sanded on all sides and edged with a special diamond‑tipped blade. The frames will be mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate decorative pieces, 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in), are also cut with diamond‑tipped blades and attached with galvanized screws. Anchoring: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded to a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate on the bottom of each support leg, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole will be drilled. Anchors will be bolted to the legs and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and ensuring stable mounting. Pergola anchors will be fabricated by welding flanges that wrap around at least two sides of a minimum 3 mm (0.1 in) thick sill. Six special screws will be inserted per leg for the anchor connection, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal components will be coated with polyester‑based powder paint and baked in a furnace.
