Seating Area: 150 x 500 cm (59.1 x 197 in) Height: 250 cm (98.4 in) Wood Specifications: The wood material used for manufacturing will be first‑grade Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: Each piece may contain up to four solid knots; knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the total piece width. No rotten, split, or missing bark knots will be present. - Cracks: No ring cracks; fine hairline cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may occur and must fall within pressure‑treatment specifications. - Resin pockets: At most one resin pocket per piece, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping or pulling resin, no inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes. Manufacturing defects are not permitted beyond the stated tolerances. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. - Impact: Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twisting: Twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter. - Compression: Compression will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Metal Paint Specifications: All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked. Metal tube profiles will be fabricated with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Surfaces will be cleaned of oil, grease, and rust, then phosphated to promote paint adhesion. After electrostatic powder coating, the parts will be cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Main Supports: The pergola’s main supports consist of four Ø89 × 2 mm (3.5 x 0.1 in) metal profiles, electrostatic powder‑coated. Support leg height is 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof Structure: Roof brackets are made from 40 × 40 mm (1.6 x 1.6 in) electrostatic powder‑coated metal profiles. On each main metal support, a minimum 50 × 70 mm (2 x 2.8 in) piece of hardwood, milled at both corners, will be attached. All fixed connections use galvanized wood screws. Seating Unit: Seating unit legs are fabricated from 40 × 40 mm (1.6 x 1.6 in) electrostatic powder‑coated metal profiles. Wooden slats, sized at minimum 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) and shaped with diamond‑tipped knives, will be mounted to the legs using galvanized screws.
