Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). The wood material must meet the following specifications: Knots – each meter may contain up to 4 solid knots. The total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No decayed, split, partially rotted, or fallen knots will be present. Cracks – no ring cracks; fine hair cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may occur. Pressure‑treated lumber may contain head and body cracks within tolerance limits. Resin pockets – at most one per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping or suction resin, inner bark, rot cavities, insect holes, or manufacturing defects will be present; only the defined tolerances may apply. Deflection – will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact – will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. Twist – will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter length. Grain bending – will be tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. Sanding – all visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Main Supports: Support legs will be fabricated from two pieces of pine lumber, each at least 90 x 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special knives to create a motif. The height of the support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in). Roof: The pergola roof’s load‑bearing beams will be made from 50 x 150 mm (2 x 5.9 in) lumber. Two corners of each beam will be shaped with a router. On top of the load‑bearing beams, motif‑cut 50 x 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) lumber with diamond‑tipped knives will be installed. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Seating Unit: The seating unit will have two L‑shaped wooden legs, at least 40 x 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), attached with special galvanized screws—one end to the support frame and the other end to the seating beam. On the L‑legs, four motif‑cut 40 x 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) wooden beams will be mounted, along with two vertical 40 x 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) wooden backrest beams, all secured with special galvanized screws. Anchorage: Under each support leg a 150 x 150 x 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded to a 90 x 70 x 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole will be drilled. The anchors will be bolted to the underside of the supports and attached to the ground with steel dowels, preventing wood from contacting water and ensuring stable installation. Pergola anchors will be welded to at least two sides of the flange, with a minimum 3 mm (0.1 in) gap. Six special screws will be inserted into each leg for the anchor‑to‑post connection, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked in a furnace.
