Each piece may contain up to four solid knots, none exceeding one‑quarter of the part width. No rot, decay, or split knots are allowed. Ring cracks are excluded; fine cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated resin pockets up to 10 cm (3.9 in) long are limited to one per piece, with no leaking or sagging resin. Surface defects such as warping, bowing, twisting, or cupping are limited to the specified tolerances (e.g., warp ≤ 1/50 of part length). All visible surfaces are sanded smooth.
