Wooden children’s playground – Classic Series technical specifications. Our wooden playground play sets are manufactured from locally sourced yellow pine imported grade 1 timber. All wood is pressure‑treated with a preservative. Metal components in the play sets are electro‑static oven‑painted. Slides are made from fiberglass or polyethylene. Stair treads and handrails feature patterned rubber coating on a metal chassis. All of our wood‑metal playground play sets are TSE‑certified and come with a 2‑year usage guarantee and a 5‑year spare‑part warranty from the manufacturer. Preservative Treatment (Emprenye) The preservative treatment impregnates the wood with chemicals to protect it from fungi, insects, and termites, extending the service life. The treatment penetrates only the sapwood; the heartwood remains naturally durable. Only sapwood timber is eligible for treatment. The process varies according to wood species, environment, and required lifespan. Dipping Method Wood is fully submerged in a preservative‑filled tank, then allowed to dry for 24 hours. This method is fast, efficient, and cost‑effective, requiring less labor and storage than pressure‑treatment and is recommended for untreated components. Protective Measures The preservative prevents beetle and termite damage. For added durability, a finish coat of varnish is advised to maintain the preservative’s properties over time. The preservative may slightly tint the wood but does not act as a coloring agent. Outdoor Structures In covered areas such as a picnic gazebo, the protective effect lasts 1‑2 years. For city‑furniture items like pergolas, benches, and picnic tables, protection ranges from 6 months to 1 year. Fill Varnish • Reaches sanding hardness in 2–4 hours (depends on temperature and humidity). • Fills wood pores and smooths the surface. • Reduces absorption of the final topcoat, saving time and material. • Easy to sand. Clear Varnish Provides the desired gloss and slip resistance. It is physically hard, scratch‑ and impact‑resistant, and chemically resistant to water, detergents, and other agents. The final clear coat offers a bright, high‑clarity finish.
