All wood is pressure‑treated with a preservative. The metal components in the play sets are electrostatically oven‑painted. Slides are manufactured from fiberglass or polyethylene. Stair treads and handrails are metal frames covered with patterned rubber. All of our wood‑metal children’s playground sets are certified by TSE and come with a manufacturer’s warranty covering two years of use and five years of spare‑part supply. What is Impregnation? Impregnation is the process of introducing various chemical substances into wood by different methods to protect it from decay organisms such as fungi, insects, and termites, thereby extending its service life. The preservative penetrates only the sapwood; the heartwood, which is naturally durable, remains untreated. For impregnation, the wood must be sapwood. The process varies according to wood species, installation environment, and expected service life. The dip method, as the name suggests, involves submerging the timber in a tank filled with preservative solution, then allowing it to air‑dry for 24 hours. This method is fast, efficient, and cost‑effective; it requires less time, labor, and storage space than pressurized systems, making it the cheaper option. Dipping is recommended for protecting untreated wood before assembly. The preservative acts as a protective agent to prevent wood rot and insect damage. For durability, it is advisable to apply a finish coat after impregnation. The preservative may give the wood a slight tint but does not serve as a coloring agent. In covered structures such as a picnic gazebo, the treatment provides protection for 1‑2 years. In urban furniture items like pergolas, benches, and picnic tables, the protective effect lasts 6 months to 1 year. Filler Varnish: - Reaches a sandable hardness within 2–4 hours after application (subject to ambient temperature and humidity). - Fills the wood’s pores. - Provides a smooth surface. - Reduces absorption of the final topcoat, saving time and material. - Is easy to sand. Gloss Varnish: - Gives the applied surface the desired gloss level and slip resistance. - Physically, it is hard, resistant to scratches and impacts; chemically, it resists water, detergents, and other chemicals. - Serves as the final clear coat with a bright, high‑transparency finish.
