Technical Specification – Classic Series Wooden Playground Set Our wooden playground play sets are manufactured from locally sourced yellow pine and imported grade‑1 timber. All wood components are pressure‑treated with a protective preservative. Metal hardware used in the sets is electrostatically oven‑painted. Slides are produced from fiberglass or polyethylene material. Stair treads and landing pads are fitted with patterned rubber on metal frames. All of our wood‑metal playground sets are TSE‑certified and come with a 2‑year usage warranty and a 5‑year spare‑part guarantee from the manufacturer. Preservative Treatment (Emprenye) The preservative process infuses the wood with chemicals that protect it from fungi, insects, and termites, extending its service life. The treatment penetrates only the sapwood; heartwood remains naturally durable. Only sapwood timber is eligible for treatment. The method varies according to wood species, installation environment, and expected lifespan. Dip‑treatment involves submerging the wood in a preservative‑filled tank, then allowing it to air‑dry for 24 hours. This method is fast, efficient, and cost‑effective, offering lower labor and storage costs compared with pressurised systems. Dip‑treatment is recommended for unassembled wood components. The preservative acts as a protective agent against beetles and termites. For added durability, a finish coating is advised to maintain the preservative’s effectiveness over time. The preservative may slightly tint the wood but does not function as a pigment. Protection Duration • Covered structures such as a picnic gazebo provide 1–2 years of protection. • Urban furniture items like pergolas, benches, and picnic tables retain protective properties for 6 months to 1 year. Filling Varnish • Reaches sanding hardness within 2–4 hours (depending on ambient temperature and humidity). • Fills wood pores and smooths the surface. • Reduces absorption of the final topcoat, saving time and material. • Sands easily. Gloss Varnish Provides the desired shine and slip resistance. It is physically hard, scratch‑ and impact‑resistant, and chemically resistant to water, detergents, and other agents. The final coat delivers a bright, high‑clarity finish.
