Wooden Children’s Playground – Classic Series Technical Specification Manufacture, Features, Dimensions Our wooden play groups are made from first‑class imported – locally sourced yellow pine. All wood is pressure‑treated with impregnation. Metal components used in the wooden play groups are electrostatic oven‑painted. Slides are manufactured from fiberglass or polyethylene. Stair treads and ramps are covered with patterned rubber on metal frames. All wood‑metal children’s playground sets are TSE certified and include a two‑year usage warranty and a five‑year spare‑parts warranty from the manufacturer. What Is Impregnation? Impregnation is the process of introducing various chemical agents into wood to protect it from fungi, insects, and termites, thereby extending its service life. The impregnation agent penetrates only the sapwood; the heartwood remains naturally durable. Only sapwood should be impregnated. The method varies according to wood type, installation environment, and expected service life. In the immersion method, the wood is fully submerged in a tank of impregnation solution and then left to dry for 24 hours. This method is fast, efficient, and economical, offering lower labor and storage costs than pressure systems. Immersion is recommended for protecting untreated wood. Protective Treatment The treatment prevents fungal and insect damage. For durability, a finishing varnish is recommended to preserve the impregnation properties over time. The impregnation material may slightly tint the wood but does not act as a pigment. In covered structures (e.g., picnic gazebos) the protective effect lasts 1–2 years. For urban fixtures such as pergolas, benches, and picnic tables, protection lasts 6 months to 1 year. Filling Varnish - Reaches sanding hardness within 2–4 hours (may vary with temperature and humidity). - Fills wood pores. - Provides a smooth surface. - Reduces absorption of the final topcoat, saving time and material. - Sands easily. Gloss Varnish Provides the desired gloss appearance and slip resistance. Physically, it is hard, resistant to scratches and impacts; chemically, it resists water, detergents, and other chemicals. It is the final topcoat offering a bright, high‑clarity finish.
