Wooden Children’s Playground – (Classic Series) Technical Specification Wooden playground play sets are manufactured from locally sourced yellow pine, imported first‑class grade. All wood is pressure‑treated with preservative. Metal components in the wooden play sets are electro‑static oven‑painted. Slides are made from fiberglass or polyethylene. Stair treads and landing platforms are rubber‑coated with a decorative pattern over a metal frame. All of our wood‑metal children’s playground play sets are TSE certified and come with a two‑year usage warranty and a five‑year spare‑part warranty from the manufacturer. What is Preservative Treatment? Preservative treatment involves impregnating the wood with various chemicals to protect it from fungi, insects, and termites, thereby extending its service life. The preservative penetrates only the sapwood; heartwood is naturally durable and is not affected by the treatment. Only sapwood is suitable for treatment. The process varies according to wood species, installation environment, and expected lifespan. In the immersion method, wood is submerged in a tank filled with preservative solution, then allowed to cure for 24 hours. This method is fast, efficient and economical, requiring less time, labor, and storage cost than pressure‑treatment, making it the preferred option for protecting unfinished wood. Protective Agent The treatment aims to prevent wood from rotting and insect damage. For durability, a finish coat is recommended to preserve the preservative’s effectiveness over time. The preservative may slightly tint the wood but does not act as a colorant. In covered structures such as a picnic gazebo, the protection lasts 1‑2 years. For urban furniture like pergolas, benches, and picnic tables, the protection lasts 6 months to 1 year. Filling Varnish • Reaches sandable hardness within 2–4 hours (depending on ambient temperature and humidity). • Fills wood pores. • Provides a smooth surface. • Reduces absorption of the final topcoat, saving time and material. • Easy to sand. Gloss Varnish Provides the desired shine and slip resistance. It is physically hard, resistant to scratches and impacts, and chemically resistant to water, detergents, and other agents. The final coat is clear, high‑gloss, and highly transparent.
