Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and dimensions with a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood characteristics include: - Knots: Up to four sound knots per meter; knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the total piece width. No rotten, split, partially fused, or missing knots. - Cracks: No ring cracks; hairline cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may be present. Pressure‑treated specifications may allow head and foot cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: No longer than 10 cm (3.9 in) per meter, with at most one per meter. No leaking or pulling resin. No internal shell, rot cavities, or insect holes. Manufacturing defects are not permitted; only deviations within the specified tolerances are allowed. - Deflection: Bending will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact deformation will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Torsion: Will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Twist: Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth. Anchoring: A 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) welding plate will be welded onto a 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) flange under each support leg. Two anchor holes will be drilled in a 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate, and three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes will be drilled in each 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate. Anchors will be installed with screws beneath the supports and attached to the ground using steel dowels. This prevents water contact with the wood and secures the support legs. Gazebo anchors will be fabricated by welding flanges of at least 2.5 mm (0.1 in) thickness around a minimum of two sides of each post. Six special screws will be inserted per leg for attachment to the posts, and two dowelled screws per leg for ground connection. All metal components will be painted with polyester‑based powder coating in a furnace.
