Wood sections will be cut with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions will have a maximum tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). Desired wood qualities include: - Knots: up to four solid knots per meter, with knot diameters not exceeding one‑quarter of the total piece width. No rotten, split, or fallen knots will be present. - Cracks: no ring cracks; hairline cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) may occur. Pressure‑treated cracks may be present within specification tolerances. - Resin pockets: a maximum of one resin pocket per meter, not longer than 10 cm (3.9 in). No dripping or sucking resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes will be present. - Manufacturing defects: none, only deviations within the specified tolerances. - Bending: deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the part length. - Impact: impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the part width. - Twisting: twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Shear bending: tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the part length. - Sanding: all visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Wood carriers: Support legs will be made from pine lumber sized at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped special knives and bearing a decorative motif. Seating unit: The seating unit has a seat width of 30 cm (11.8 in), length of 140 cm (55.1 in), and seat height of 45 cm (17.7 in). Its supporting parts will be manufactured from pine lumber at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) with diamond‑tipped motif knives. The seating unit will be assembled with six pieces of 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in) wood slats and four backrest slats, fastened to the wooden supports with galvanized screws. Table: The table measures 63 × 140 cm (24.8 x 55.1 in) and will be fabricated from impregnated pine lumber slats at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), cut with diamond‑tipped knives and an oval motif. Table legs are 75 cm (29.5 in) high, made from pine lumber at least 40 × 90 mm (1.6 x 3.5 in), also shaped with diamond‑tipped motif knives.
