Wood Features: - The material used will be 1st‑grade Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. - Wood pieces will be cut to project specifications with a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), and overall dimensions with a tolerance of ±20 mm (0.8 in). - Knots: Each meter may contain up to four solid knots; knot diameters will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, split, or dropped knots will be present. - Cracks: No ring cracks; hairline cracks (1–2 mm (0-0.1 in)) are permissible within tolerance limits. Pressure‑treated cracks may appear but must stay within specified tolerances. - Resin Pockets: Up to one pocket per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length. No dripping or sucking resin, internal shells, rot holes, or insect holes will be present. - Manufacturing Defects: None; only the defined tolerances may cause deviations. - Bending: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the piece length. - Impact Marks: Will not exceed 1/100 of the piece width. - Twisting: No more than 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Edge Bending: Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the piece length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove any splinters.
