Material: The crib is made from solid birch wood, ensuring durability and long life. No toxic paints or varnishes are used, protecting the baby’s health. Design: A decorative rattan rail on the front guard is carefully mounted on wooden slats by skilled craftsmen. Rattan is strong, long‑lasting, and adds a warm, elegant touch. As the child grows, the front rails can be removed to create a wider, more open space, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. Although the crib appears to sit directly on the floor, an internal mattress platform rests on 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high panels, providing insulation from a cold floor and added warmth. The recommended mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in). Our double‑sided mattress pads can be used to achieve the correct height and comfort; they are available in the Textile section of our website. Why a solid‑wood crib?: Solid construction suits daily use and long‑term investment, offering a quality sleep environment. The breathable natural wood helps regulate body temperature during sleep, promoting healthier, more comfortable rest. The wood grain and natural texture enhance the room’s atmosphere and create a cozy feel. Craftsmanship: The wood is carefully processed by experienced hands, resulting in smooth edges with no sharp points. It is designed with child safety in mind and features a smooth surface that eliminates splinter hazards. The crib is portable and easy to assemble; it can be disassembled and re‑assembled many times as needed. Return and warranty: A 2‑year free exchange or return warranty covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery time: 10–15 business days after order confirmation. Care: Solid birch is easy to maintain. Regular dusting and occasional wiping with a damp cloth help preserve durability. Once a year, or as needed, apply mineral or plant‑based oil to maintain moisture balance and surface protection. Solid‑wood furniture is typically sourced sustainably, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Dimensions: The dimensions you select correspond to the mattress/inner pad size. The inner mattress is 10 cm (3.9 in) smaller in length and width than the outer mattress. The finished crib includes a 4 cm (1.6 in) side allowance on each side. Guard‑rail height is 45 cm (17.7 in).
