Material: The Sebastian Montessori crib is constructed from premium solid pine that has been dry‑kilned to a moisture content of 6‑8%, ensuring durability and long life. It is finished with a silk‑mat lacquer. No finishes, coatings or varnishes that could harm a baby’s health or contain toxic chemicals are used. Design: The crib features a minimal Scandinavian style that is natural and functional. The pine retains its unique grain and light colour. As the child grows, the front rails can be removed to create a wider, more spacious look, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. The Montessori‑inspired design encourages independence and exploration. The mattress platform sits low to the floor, and the inner mattress rests on panels positioned 4 cm (1.6 in) above the floor for thermal insulation. Recommended inner‑mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in); pair it with our Little Visco double‑sided mattress for proper height and comfort (available in the Textiles section). The door opening can be positioned on the right, left, or centre. Why choose a solid‑wood crib?
