The Biscuit solid bed is crafted from first‑grade solid pine dried to a moisture content of 6‑8 %, ensuring durability and a long service life. No toxic finishes, coatings, or varnishes are used, so it is safe for babies. Design: The bed features a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic that is natural and functional, preserving the pine’s distinctive grain and light color. Practicality is emphasized with spacious drawers beneath the bed to keep the room tidy; drawer pulls are offered in timeless straw, wood, or playful cloud shapes that match the accompanying room set’s wardrobe and chiffonier. As the child grows, the front rail can be removed to create a larger, open space, making the bed suitable from childhood through teenage years and providing a versatile bedroom element. The Montessori version encourages independence: the base sits low to the floor, and a 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high supports an internal mattress, providing insulation and keeping the child off a cold floor. Recommended internal mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in); a double‑sided mattress can be added for proper height and comfort and ordered from the Textile section. The headboard rail can be positioned left, right, or centre when viewed from the doorway. Because it is solid, the bed is ideal for daily use and long‑term investment, offering a breathable wooden surface that helps regulate body temperature for healthier, more comfortable sleep. The natural wood pattern and texture enhance the room’s atmosphere, creating a relaxing feel. Each piece is hand‑crafted with no sharp edges or splinters; smooth wooden surfaces are safe for children, and the bed can be disassembled and re‑assembled many times for easy transport. Warranty: A two‑year free exchange or return warranty covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery takes 10–15 business days after order placement. Care: Solid pine is low‑maintenance—regular dusting and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth prolong its lifespan. Annual treatments with mineral or plant‑based oil help preserve the wood’s moisture balance. Sustainably sourced timber makes the bed an eco‑friendly choice. Size: The overall dimensions, including side allowances, are 90 cm (35.4 in) × 190 cm (74.8 in) with an additional 4 cm (1.6 in) on each side. Guardrail height is 55 cm (21.7 in), drawer height 20 cm (7.9 in), and leg height 10 cm (3.9 in). For the infant‑size option, the internal mattress should be 10 cm (3.9 in) smaller in length and width than the adult mattress.
