Material: The Native American crib is made from first‑grade solid pine that has been carefully slow‑dried to a 6‑8% moisture content, ensuring long durability. No finishes, coatings, or varnishes containing harmful chemicals are used, making it safe for infants. Design: Featuring a Scandinavian‑inspired minimalist, natural, and functional design, the pine retains its unique texture and light color. As the child grows, the front rail can be removed to create a wider, more open look, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. Spacious drawers beneath the crib help keep the room organized. Drawer pulls are available in timeless, wood, or playful cloud shapes, matching the Souffle Room Set, Souffle Wardrobe, and Souffle Dresser. Montessori: Designed to encourage independence and exploration, the mattress platform sits low to the ground for easy access. Although the crib appears to sit directly on the floor, an inner mattress rests on 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high panels, providing insulation and preventing cold from the floor. The recommended maximum inner mattress height is 20 cm (7.9 in); a Little Visco double‑sided mattress can be added for optimal height and comfort. A custom Visco mattress can be ordered from our Textile section. Why solid wood?: Solid construction makes the crib suitable for daily use and long‑term investment. The breathable natural wood helps regulate body temperature during sleep, promoting healthier, more comfortable rest. The wood grain and natural feel enhance the room’s atmosphere. Craftsmanship: The crib’s wood is meticulously handcrafted, free of sharp edges or points. The smooth surface eliminates splinter hazards. The crib is portable and can be easily disassembled and reassembled many times. Return & warranty: A 2‑year free replacement or return warranty covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery time: Delivery takes 10–15 business days after order confirmation. Care: Solid pine is low‑maintenance. Regular dusting and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth prolong durability. To preserve moisture balance and finish, apply mineral or botanical oil once a year or as needed. Solid‑wood furniture is typically sourced from sustainable forests, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Dimensions: The crib size you select corresponds to the mattress/inner‑bed dimensions. Overall crib dimensions include a 4 cm (1.6 in) side allowance on each side.
