Material: The Sebastian Montessori crib is crafted from first‑grade solid pine with a moisture content of 6‑8 %, balanced dried for durability and a long life. A silk‑mat lacquer finish is applied to the premium pine. All finishes are free of harmful chemicals; no varnish, coating, or lacquer that could affect baby health is used. Design: The Sebastian crib features a minimalist Scandinavian style that is natural and functional. The pine retains its unique wood texture and light color. As your child grows, the front guardrails can be removed to create a larger, more open space, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. The Montessori design encourages independence and exploration. The bed base sits low to the floor, and the crib height is set for easy access. Although the crib appears to sit directly on the floor, it rests on 4 cm (1.6 in) high panels that hold an internal mattress, providing insulation from cold floors. The recommended internal mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in). Our reversible Little Visco mattress pads offer the correct height and comfort and can be ordered from the Textile section of our website. The door entry orientation can be selected as left, right, or center when viewed from the outside.
