Material: The Sebastian Montessori crib is crafted from first‑grade solid pine that has been balanced‑dried to a 6–8 % moisture content, making it highly durable and long‑lasting. A silk‑mat, low‑gloss lacquer finish is applied to the premium pine. No toxic finishes, coatings, or varnishes that could harm a baby’s health are used. Design: The crib features a Scandinavian‑inspired, minimal, natural, and functional design that showcases the unique wood grain of pine. The natural texture and color are preserved, staying true to pine’s characteristic light hue. As your child grows, the front safety rails can be removed to create a larger, more open space suitable for both childhood and teenage years, turning the crib into a versatile, aesthetic bedroom piece. The Montessori Sebastian crib is designed to encourage independence and exploration. The bed platform sits low to the floor, allowing easy access. Although the crib appears floor‑level, it includes a 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high under the mattress that provides insulation and keeps the child from feeling cold. The recommended mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in). You can pair it with our dual‑sided Little Visco mattress pads for optimal height and comfort. These pads are available in the Textile section of our website. The door opening can be positioned on the right, left, or center, according to your preference. Why a Solid Crib?: A solid‑wood crib is ideal for daily use and long‑term investment, offering a high‑quality sleep environment. The breathable nature of natural wood helps regulate body temperature during sleep, promoting healthier, more comfortable rest. Its wooden pattern and natural texture enhance the room’s atmosphere and create a cozy feel. Craftsmanship: The crib’s wood is carefully worked by skilled artisans, ensuring there are no sharp or rough edges. It is built with a focus on child safety and health, featuring a smooth surface that eliminates splinter hazards. The crib is portable and designed for easy assembly and disassembly, allowing multiple re‑installations when needed. Return and Warranty: A 2‑year free exchange or return guarantee covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery Time: Delivery takes 10–15 business days after the order is placed. An additional service fee applies outside the Aegean and Marmara regions and will be communicated after the order based on the delivery address. Care: Solid pine is easy to maintain. Regular dusting and wiping with a damp cloth help preserve the crib’s durability. To maintain the wood’s moisture balance and surface, apply mineral or plant‑based oil once a year or as needed. Solid‑wood furniture is typically sourced from sustainable forests, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Dimensions: The dimensions you select when ordering refer to the mattress/inner‑pad size that will be used inside the crib. The final crib size includes a 4 cm (1.6 in) allowance on each side. The safety rail height is 55 cm (21.7 in).
