Material: The Sebastian Montessori crib is crafted from first‑grade solid pine that has been balanced‑dry to a moisture content of 6‑8%, ensuring durability and longevity. A silk‑matte lacquer finish is applied to the premium pine, and no varnish, coating, or finish containing harmful chemicals is used. Design: The crib features a minimal Scandinavian style that is natural and functional. The pine retains its distinctive wood texture and light natural colour. As the child grows, the front rail can be removed to create a wider, more open look, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. The low‑profile frame promotes independence and exploration, with the mattress height set for easy access. Although the crib appears to sit directly on the floor, an internal mattress platform is positioned on 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high panels, providing insulation and preventing the child from feeling cold. The recommended maximum internal mattress height is 20 cm (7.9 in); you can add our double‑sided Little Visco mattress to achieve the proper height and comfort. The door orientation can be chosen as right‑hand, left‑hand, or centered when viewed from the front. Why a Solid‑Wood Crib?: Solid wood is suited for daily use and long‑term investment, offering a breathable surface that helps regulate body temperature during sleep, resulting in a healthier, more comfortable rest. The natural wood grain enhances the room’s ambience and creates a soothing feel. Craftsmanship: The wood is carefully hand‑finished without any sharp edges. The crib is built with child safety in mind, featuring a smooth surface that eliminates splinter hazards. It is portable and can be easily assembled, disassembled, and re‑assembled many times. Return and Warranty: A two‑year free‑replacement or return warranty covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery Time: Delivery takes 10–15 business days after the order is placed. Care: Solid pine is easy to maintain—regular dusting and occasional wiping with a damp cloth prolong its life. Annual (or as‑needed) treatment with mineral or plant‑based oil helps preserve the wood’s moisture balance and surface. Solid wood furniture is typically sourced from sustainable forests, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Dimensions: The overall dimensions of the crib are the size you selected for the mattress, plus a 4 cm (1.6 in) edge allowance on each side. The rail height is 55 cm (21.7 in).
