Material: The Sebastian Montessori bed is made from first‑grade solid pine with a balanced drying moisture content of 6‑8 %, providing durability and a long lifespan. A silk‑mat lacquer paint is applied to the premium pine; no toxic finishes, coatings, or varnishes that could harm a baby’s health are used. Design: The Sebastian Bed features a Scandinavian‑inspired, minimal, natural, and functional design. The pine retains its unique wood texture and light colour. As the child grows, the front rail can be removed to create a wider, more open look, turning the bed into a versatile bedroom piece. The Montessori design encourages independence and exploration. The platform sits low to the ground, and a 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high supports an internal mattress, providing insulation and keeping the child warm. The recommended internal mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in); you can add our double‑sided Little Visco mattress for the perfect height and comfort. The door opening can be right‑hand, left‑hand, or centered. Why solid wood? The solid construction makes the bed suitable for daily use and a long‑term investment. The breathable wood helps regulate body temperature for a healthier, more comfortable sleep, and the natural grain enhances the room’s atmosphere. Craftsmanship: Skilled hands shape the wood with no sharp edges, and the smooth surface eliminates splinters. The bed is portable and can be assembled, disassembled, and re‑assembled many times. Return and warranty: A 2‑year free exchange or return warranty covers any material or workmanship defects. Delivery time: 10–15 business days after order. For areas outside the specified region, we provide demountable shipping and optional installation for an additional fee, with details communicated after order. Care: Solid pine is easy to maintain— and wipe with a damp cloth as needed. A yearly or as‑needed treatment with mineral or plant‑based oil helps preserve moisture balance and surface. The solid wood is sustainably sourced, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Dimensions: Finished size is 120 cm (47.2 in) × 200 cm (78.7 in) with a 4 cm (1.6 in) allowance on each side. Rail height is 55 cm (21.7 in).
