MATERIAL: The Sebastian Montessori crib is made from first‑grade solid pine with a moisture content of 6–8 %. The wood is balanced‑dried, durable, and long‑lasting, and it is finished with a silk‑mat lacquer paint. No varnish, coating, or finish containing toxic chemicals is used. DESIGN: The crib features a minimal, natural, and functional Scandinavian style. The pine retains its distinctive grain and light colour. As your child grows, you can remove the front rails to create a wider, more open look, turning the crib into a versatile bedroom piece. The low base encourages independence and easy access. Although the crib appears to sit directly on the floor, it rests on panels that are 4 cm (1.6 in) high, providing an internal mattress platform that protects against cold and adds insulation. The recommended internal mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in); you can pair it with the Little Visco double‑sided mattress for the correct height and comfort. Mattress options are available in the Textile section of our website. The door opening can be configured as right‑hand, left‑hand, or centered. WHY A SOLID CRIB? A solid construction is ideal for daily use and long‑term investment, offering a breathable wood surface that helps regulate body temperature for a healthier, more comfortable sleep. The natural wood grain enhances the room’s atmosphere and provides a soothing feel. CRAFTSMANSHIP: The crib’s wood is carefully hand‑crafted with no sharp or rough edges, and the smooth surface eliminates splinter hazards. The design is portable and easy to assemble, and it can be repeatedly disassembled and re‑assembled as needed. RETURN AND WARRANTY: A two‑year free exchange or return guarantee covers any material or workmanship defects. DELIVERY TIME: Delivery takes 10–15 business days after order placement. The extra fee will be communicated after the order based on the delivery address. CARE: Solid pine is easy to maintain. Regular dusting and occasional cleaning with a damp cloth extend the crib’s lifespan. To preserve the wood’s moisture balance and surface, apply mineral or plant‑based oil annually or as needed. Solid wood furniture is typically sourced from sustainable forests, making it an eco‑friendly choice. DIMENSIONS: The dimensions you select refer to the mattress/internal mattress size. The finished crib size includes a 4 cm (1.6 in) edge allowance on both the left and right sides. The rail height is 55 cm (21.7 in).
