Material: The Biscuit Crib is constructed from first‑grade solid pine that has been dried to a 6‑8 % moisture level, ensuring durability and a long lifespan. No varnish, coating, or finish containing toxic chemicals is used, making it safe for babies. Design: The crib features a minimalist Scandinavian style that is natural and functional, preserving the pine’s unique grain and light color. Spacious drawers beneath the crib keep the room tidy, with handles available in classic, wood, or playful cloud shapes that coordinate with the matching room set’s wardrobe and chest of drawers. As the child grows, the front railings can be removed to create a larger, open space, allowing the piece to adapt from infancy through teenage years as a versatile bedroom item. The Montessori‑inspired design encourages independence: the low platform sits close to the floor, and the internal mattress rests on 4 cm (1.6 in)‑high panels for insulation without a cold surface. Recommended internal mattress height is up to 20 cm (7.9 in); a double‑sided mattress can be paired for optimal height and comfort and can be ordered from the Textile section. The door opening can be set to left, right, or centre when viewed from the front. Why Solid Crib?: Solid construction provides a quality, long‑term sleep environment. The breathable natural wood helps regulate body temperature, promoting healthier, more comfortable sleep. The wood’s pattern and texture enhance the room’s atmosphere, creating a cozy feel. Craftsmanship: Hand‑crafted wood is free of sharp edges; smooth surfaces eliminate splinter risks. The crib is portable and can be assembled and disassembled many times. Return and Warranty: A two‑year free replacement or return guarantee covers material or workmanship defects. Delivery Time: 10–15 business days after order placement. Care: Solid pine requires low maintenance—regular dusting and occasional wiping with a damp cloth extend its life. Apply mineral or plant‑based oil once a year, or as needed, to preserve moisture balance and surface. The wood is sustainably sourced, making it an eco‑friendly choice. Measurements: The dimensions listed correspond to the mattress size that fits inside the crib; the finished crib size includes a 4 cm (1.6 in) allowance on each side. For the toddler‑bed option, the internal mattress must be 10 cm (3.9 in) smaller in length and width than the main upper mattress. Guardrail height is 55 cm (21.7 in), drawer height 20 cm (7.9 in), and foot height 10 cm (3.9 in).
