Technical Specification CTP (CAM Fiber Reinforced Polyester) Products “CTP” is a Turkish acronym for Camelyafi Takviyeli Plastik, meaning glass‑fiber reinforced plastic. Similar acronyms are used in other countries. CTP (glass‑fiber reinforced polyester) is used in the production of slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, roofs, accessories, etc. It is a composite material made from unsaturated polyester that has been reinforced with glass fiber, increasing its physical strength. CTP can serve as a material for wood, concrete, metal, glass, and similar substrates, offering the advantage of easily imparting various properties tailored to the intended use, which gives it superiority over other construction materials. The wide‑surface CTP molding process involves applying a release agent, then a gel coat. After the gel coat cures, glass fiber and polyester are applied with a brush or wool roller. Compared with other materials, CTP is lighter, non‑conductive, corrosion‑resistant, stainless, rot‑resistant, provides water and thermal insulation, and possesses high strength. It can be produced in any desired tonnage, requires no paint or maintenance, is long‑lasting without external upkeep, and is easy to install. A short‑duration acrylic‑modified accelerator based on Isoftalik/NPG, containing a performance gel‑coat pigment, withstands temperatures up to 215 °C. The gel coat does not yellow, fade, or matte under heat cycling and remains aesthetically superior. The pigment‑colored gel coat is applied in two layers, 0.80 µm thick, forming a film that contains 450 g/m² of two‑coat and a 600 g/m² single‑coat standard and woven‑fiber application. On top, a 5 mm (0.2 in)‑thick fiber layer is built using CE 92 N8 polyester material with high mechanical resistance, developed for general‑purpose CTP applications.
