Cellulose Primer – What Is It? A single‑component, fast‑drying primer based on nitrocellulose and alkyd resin. It contains a high pigment load and offers excellent coverage, delivering a smooth, uniform surface thanks to superior flow and adhesion, ready for subsequent coats. What Is Lacquer Paint? Lacquer paint is a glossy, colored, or clear coating applied primarily to wood or laminate surfaces. When an opaque lacquer completely masks the wood grain, the process is called lacquer painting. Lacquer provides a, smooth finish that transforms a wooden piece into a striking visual element, which is why it is widely used on furniture. Lacquer is available in a variety of colors. For optimal results, the substrate must be well‑sanded and smooth before application. Unlike standard varnishes, lacquer is applied in seven successive coats, with a polishing step after the final coat to achieve a flawless surface. Because the process involves multiple layers of painting and drying, lacquer finishing is more costly than conventional painting, and the drying and curing stages can be lengthy. Timing should be managed flexibly, and each painting and drying step must be closely monitored.
