It is semi‑permeable, easily softened and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. The polymer’s density and chemical characteristics define its classification. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching. Although properties vary, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used to manufacture slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used must have a light‑fastness value of 6 or higher. Wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for components subjected to pressure or friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Tolerances on thickness and dimensions are ±5 %. Carrier Construction: The carrier construction consists of circular‑section steel tubes produced to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476, DIN 2394 standards, cold‑formed with a minimum outer diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), welded by high‑frequency welding. Tubes are sandblasted and coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat. Electrostatic Powder Coating: All metal components are sandblasted to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. A fine steel shot is blasted with compressed air to open micro‑pores. After cleaning, components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, the parts undergo a 10‑minute dip at 70 °C in a 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip at 50 °C in a 1 % iron bath, then rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly is painted in one coat to prevent weld corrosion, using a durable polyester powder finish cured at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes.
