It is semi‑permeable, easy to process and highly durable, offering low cost and excellent resistance to chemicals and wear. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching type. Across variations, LLDPE consistently provides good outdoor and moisture resistance, flexibility, modest mechanical strength and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are used for slides, handrails, barriers, shading structures, roofs and other playground elements. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments for colouring must have a light‑fastness rating of 6 or higher. Wall thickness is a minimum of 6 mm (0.2 in) for load‑bearing or friction‑exposed parts and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Material distribution must be uniform to achieve consistent thickness. Thickness and dimensional tolerances are ±5%. Carrier construction: Tube sections are cold‑formed steel pipes with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in), conforming to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476 and DIN 2394. They are welded by high‑frequency welding, sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic powder‑coating process: All metal parts are grit‑blasted to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a textured surface for optimal paint adhesion. A fine‑bead coating is spray‑applied with pressurised air to open microscopic pores and eliminate contaminants. After coating, the parts are cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Following fabrication, metal components undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes (5 % solution), then a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes (1 % solution), followed by rinsing and drying. Finally, the entire assembly receives a uniform polyester‑based electrostatic powder coat and is baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. All weld seams are fully covered to prevent corrosion.
