It is semi‑permeable, pliable and highly durable, valued for its low cost and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene grades are classified by density and chemical properties. Mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure and branching type. Generally, the material offers outstanding resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, modest mechanical strength and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene components are employed to make slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs and more. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments used for colouring must have a light‑fastness rating of 6 or higher. Wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) for points under pressure or friction and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing parts such as barriers or shading elements. Material distribution must be uniform to ensure consistent thickness. Dimensional tolerance for thickness and measurements is ±5%. Carrier construction: Steel tubes with a minimum outside diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a wall thickness of at least 2 mm (0.1 in) are cold‑formed in accordance with TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476 and DIN 2394, welded by high‑frequency welding and produced within standard tolerance ranges for dimensions and cross‑sections. The carrier tubes are sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint. Electrostatic powder‑paint process: All metal parts are cleaned of oil, dirt and rust by sandblasting, creating a porous surface that promotes better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is sprayed with pressurised air to open micro‑pores and remove contaminants. After cleaning, the parts are coated with polyester‑based electrostatic powder paint and cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. The components then undergo a 10‑minute wash in a 70 °C, 5 % oil‑removal bath, followed by a 15‑minute immersion in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath. After final rinsing and drying, the parts receive a durable outdoor‑grade polyester‑based powder finish and are heated in a 180–200 °C oven for 20–30 minutes. All welds are fully painted to prevent corrosion.
