Wood sections will be manufactured with a maximum tolerance of ± 2 mm (0.1 in), and wood dimensions will be produced with a maximum tolerance of ± 20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood properties include: - Knots: Each meter may contain up to four solid knots; the total knot diameter will not exceed one‑quarter of the piece width. No rotten, defective, partially fused, or fallen knots are allowed. - Cracks: No ring cracks will be present. Microscopic cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) may occur; pressure‑treated specifications may allow head and foot cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: A maximum of one resin pocket per meter, not exceeding 10 cm (3.9 in) in length, will be present. No leaking or pulling resin, inner shell, rot cavities, or insect holes are permitted. - Manufacturing defects are not allowed; only deviations within the specified tolerances are acceptable. - Deflection: Deflection will not exceed 1/50 of the member length. Impact marks will not exceed 1/100 of the member width. - Twisting: Twist will not exceed 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter of length. - Bending in the grain: Tolerated between 1/50 and 1/100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces will be sanded smooth to remove splinters. Main Supports: Six support legs will be made from 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine lumber, shaped with diamond‑tipped special knives featuring a motif. The support legs will be 240 cm (94.5 in) tall. Roof Structure: The roof’s carrying slats will be fabricated from 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) wood. Two corners of each slat will be routed for shaping, and the slats will be further shaped with diamond‑tipped knives to add a decorative motif. All fixed connections will use special galvanized wood screws. Anchoring: A 150 × 150 × 5 mm (5.9 x 5.9 x 0.2 in) flange will be welded to a 90 × 70 × 5 mm (3.5 x 2.8 x 0.2 in) plate at the bottom of each support leg, and a 12 mm (0.5 in) diameter hole will be drilled. Anchors will be bolted to the legs with screws and secured to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and ensuring stable foot installation. Picnic gazebo anchors will be welded to at least two sides of the minimum‑3 mm (0.1 in) thick flange plates. Six special screws will be installed per leg for anchor‑to‑post connections, and two dowel screws per leg for ground attachment. All metal components will be powder‑coated with a polyester‑based finish and baked in a furnace.
