Seating area: 400 × 400 cm (157 x 157 in) Roof area: 470 × 470 cm (185 x 185 in) Height: 300 cm (118 in) WOOD CHARACTERISTICS The structure uses first‑class Yellow Pine (Pinus sylvestris) lumber. Wood sections are cut to a maximum tolerance of ±2 mm (0.1 in), with overall dimensions toleranced to ±20 mm (0.8 in). Required wood quality includes: - Knots: Up to four solid knots per piece, with total knot diameter not exceeding ¼ of the component width. No rotten, split, partially fused, or fallen knots are permitted. - Cracks: Ring cracks are not allowed; hairline cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) are acceptable, as are pressure‑treated cracks within tolerance limits. - Resin pockets: At most one resin pocket per meter, not longer than 10 cm (3.9 in). No dripping, sucking resin, inner bark, rot cavities, or insect holes are allowed. - Deflection: ≤ 1⁄50 of the member length; impact marks ≤ 1⁄100 of the member width. - Twist: Maximum 2 mm (0.1 in) twist per meter. - Bowing: Between 1⁄50 and 1⁄100 of the member length. - Sanding: All visible surfaces are sanded smooth and free of splinters. The wood is finished with a white lacquer. PRIMARY SUPPORTS Eight 90 × 90 mm (3.5 x 3.5 in) pine beams, cut with diamond‑tipped knives and bearing a decorative motif, serve as support legs. Each leg is 240 cm (94.5 in) tall. ROOF STRUCTURE Supporting slats are 50 × 100 mm (2 x 3.9 in) lumber, routed at two corners. The top of each slat is fastened with wood‑pressed board or fiber material, then covered with zinc‑coated membranes secured by wide‑head special nails. The roof is finished with American cedar‑shingle roofing, also installed with wide‑head nails. A ridge board uses 30 × 130 mm (1.2 x 5.1 in) slats, cut with diamond‑tipped knives and attached to the roof slats with galvanized wood screws. The roof frame consists of eight 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) slats, each angled and cut with diamond‑tipped knives, connecting the main supports to the ridge board. All fixed connections use stainless‑steel wood screws; galvanized screws are used where the main supports meet the roof. UPPER PANELS (GUARDRAILS) Upper guardrails are 35 cm (13.8 in) high. Guardrail frames are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) timber, sanded on all sides and edge‑finished with diamond‑tipped knives, and mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate decorative motifs are made from 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) timber and also attached with galvanized screws. LOWER PANELS (GUARDRAIL) The lower guardrail is 75 cm (29.5 in) high. Frames are 50 × 50 mm (2 x 2 in) sanded timber with edge‑finished diamond‑tipped cuts, mounted to the main supports with galvanized wood screws. Intermediate motifs of 40 × 50 mm (1.6 x 2 in) timber, cut with diamond‑tipped decorative knives, are fastened to the guardrail frames with galvanized screws and a clear specialty wood adhesive. SEATING UNIT The seating unit comprises eight 4 × 9 cm (1.6 x 3.5 in) L‑shaped wooden legs, each attached at one end to a main support and at the other end to the seating slats. Four diamond‑tipped, motif‑bearing wooden slats per side are secured with galvanized screws. ANCHORING Under each support leg, an 18 × 13 × 3 mm (0.7 x 0.5 x 0.1 in) flange is welded to a 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate; a 13 × 8 × 3 mm (0.5 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate receives two anchor holes, and each 15 × 8 × 2 mm (0.6 x 0.3 x 0.1 in) plate receives three 6 mm (0.2 in) screw holes. Anchors are bolted to the underside of the supports and connected to the ground with steel dowels, preventing water contact with the wood and ensuring stable foot placement. The gazebo’s anchors are welded to the flanges with a minimum 2.5 mm (0.1 in) weld bead on at least two sides. Six specialty screws are installed per leg for the anchor‑to‑support connection, and two dowel screws per leg for the ground connection. All metal components receive a polyester‑based powder coat and are baked for durability.
