Polyethylene products – low‑ or medium‑density linear polyethylene (LLDPE – Linear Low‑Density Polyethylene) is a thermoplastic used in a range of applications. It is a semi‑permeable, pliable, highly durable polymer whose low cost and strong resistance make it a popular industrial material. Polyethylene is divided into categories according to density and chemical properties; mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching type. Across grades, the material offers good outdoor and moisture resistance, flexibility, low mechanical strength and excellent chemical resistance. It is used to manufacture slides, ladders, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs and similar items. To prevent colour fading, masterbatch pigments must have a light‑fastness rating of 6 or higher. Wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) on surfaces exposed to pressure and friction, and at least 4 mm (0.2 in) for barriers and shading components that are not pressure‑loaded. Material must be evenly distributed to achieve uniform thickness. Wall‑thickness and overall dimensions are allowed a tolerance of ±5 %. Carrier construction consists of circular‑section steel tubes cold‑formed to TS EN 10219‑2, TS‑6476 and DIN 2394 standards, with a minimum diameter of 114 mm (4.5 in) and a minimum wall thickness of 2 mm (0.1 in), welded by high‑frequency welding. The tubes are sandblasted and then coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder. All metal components are sandblasted first to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine‑bead material sealed in a pressure‑resistant casing is sprayed with pressurised air to open pores and clear the metal surface. After fabrication, components are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and cured in a 200‑220 °C oven for 20 minutes. They are then rinsed in a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % degreasing bath, followed by a 15‑minute dip in a 50 °C, 1 % iron bath, rinsed again and dried. A durable polyester‑based electrostatic powder suitable for outdoor use is applied and cured in a 180‑200 °C oven for 20‑30 minutes. Welded areas are painted as a whole to prevent rust.
