Wood is free of rot, decay, fused or fallen knots, and ring cracks; hairline cracks (1‑2 mm (0.1 in)) are acceptable within spec limits. Pressure‑treated lumber may show permissible end‑grain and length‑grain cracks within tolerance. Resin pockets: at most one per piece, no longer than 10 cm (3.9 in), with no leaching. No inner bark, rot cavities, insect holes, or manufacturing defects beyond the stated tolerances. Bending will not exceed 1/50 of the piece length, impact 1/100 of the width, twisting 2 mm (0.1 in) per meter, and shear between 1/50 and 1/100 of the length. All visible surfaces are sanded smooth.
