The clamp is cold‑formed from 4 mm (0.2 in) thick black St37 steel sheet to grip a 4‑inch (114.3 mm) diameter pipe. Holes of 9.5 mm (0.4 in) diameter are drilled on both sides of the sheet clamp, spaced equally along the axis. The resulting steel clamp is then rubber‑coated using a hot‑press method. The rubber coating has a hardness of 55‑65 Shore A, a density of 1 g/cm³, and a minimum thickness of 20 mm (0.8 in). Dimensions: Ø 114 mm (4.5 in), volume 0.35 m (13.8 in)³, weight 2.50 kg (5.5 lb).
