It is a semi-permeable, pliable, and highly durable polymer that is cost-effective and offers high resistance, making it popular in industry. Polyethylene density and chemical properties determine its classification into different categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystalline structure, and branching type. Although characteristics vary by grade, general properties include good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and superior chemical resistance. Polyethylene products are used in the production of slides, stairs, railings, barriers, accessories, roofs, and more. To prevent color fading, masterbatch pigments used for coloring polyethylene must have a light fastness rating of 6 or higher. The product's wall thickness must be at least 6 mm (0.2 in) at locations subjected to pressure and friction, and a minimum of 4 mm (0.2 in) for components not subjected to pressure such as barriers and shading structures. Material distribution must be uniform, and thickness consistency must be maintained. Tolerances for wall thickness and dimensions are ±5 %. ELECTROSTATIC POWDER COATING All metal components will be prepared for painting by sandblasting to remove oil, dirt, and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot will be propelled with compressed air into a pressure‑resistant cabinet to open pores and cleanse the metal surfaces. After manufacturing, metal parts will be coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder, then cured in a 200–220 °C oven for 20 minutes. Subsequently, parts will undergo a 10‑minute, 70 °C, 5 % concentration oil‑removal bath, followed by a 15‑minute, 50 °C, 1 % concentration iron bath. After rinsing and drying, the components will receive a durable polyester‑based powder coating applied outdoors, baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Welds will be fully coated after welding to prevent corrosion.
