It is semi‑permeable, flexible and highly durable, offering low cost and high resistance, making it popular in industry. Based on density and chemical properties, it is classified into several categories. Its mechanical properties depend on molecular weight, crystal structure and branching. Although properties vary by type, it generally provides good resistance to outdoor conditions and moisture, flexibility, low mechanical strength, and excellent chemical resistance. Polyethylene is used for slides, stairs, handrails, barriers, accessories, roofs, etc. To prevent color fading, masterbatch dyes used must have a lightfastness rating of 6 or higher. Minimum wall thickness is 6 mm (0.2 in) for parts exposed to pressure or friction, and 4 mm (0.2 in) for non‑load‑bearing barriers and shade structures. Thickness tolerance is ±5 %. Electrostatic Powder Coat: All metal components are first blasted to remove oil, dirt and rust, creating a porous surface for better paint adhesion. Fine steel shot is then sprayed under pressurized air to open micro‑pores and clean the metal. After fabrication, metal parts are coated with a polyester‑based electrostatic powder and baked at 200–220 °C for 20 minutes. Subsequently, they undergo a degreasing bath at 70 °C for 10 minutes (5 % alkaline solution), followed by a phosphating bath at 50 °C for 15 minutes (1 % phosphoric solution). After rinsing and drying, the components receive a durable polyester‑based outdoor powder coat applied in an electrostatic system and baked at 180–200 °C for 20–30 minutes. Weld seams are fully painted after welding to prevent corrosion.
